Low Bridge Glasses That Actually Stay Put

More Recommend:
Low bridge glasses are frames built for noses where the bridge sits level with or below your pupils. They use deeper nose pads, a flatter front curve and less pantoscopic tilt, so the frame rests higher on your nose instead of sliding down or parking on your cheekbones.Aoolia lists the actual numbers — bridge width, nose pad type, pad arm length and tilt — on every frame on this page. Most brands describe the fit. We publish the measurements. Every order is checked by an in-house optician before it ships.
What Makes a Frame a Low Bridge Fit — and Why We Publish the Numbers Search 'low bridge glasses' and you'll read the same three sentences on six different sites: bigger nose pads, flatter front, curved temples. All true. None of it tells you whether a specific frame will work on your specific face.
So here's what we do differently. Every frame in this collection carries its real measurements, and here's how to read them.Nose Pads: Depth and Arm Length,On a metal or titanium frame, the pads sit on adjustable arms. Longer arms — 7mm and up — let an optician (or you, gently) push the pads lower and wider, so they rest on the sides of your nose rather than on the slope between your eyes. On acetate frames, there are no arms;what matters instead is whether the bridge has a deep integrated pad moulded into it or a flat one. Flat integrated bridges are the single most common reason a frame slides.
Pantoscopic Tilt: Why Your Lenses Touch Your Cheeks,Tilt is how far the lenses angle in toward your face at the bottom.Standard frames run 8–12°, which is comfortable if your bridge sits high — the frame is already held forward. On a low bridge, that same tilt drops the bottom rim straight onto your cheekbone. Under 8° is the range worth looking for, and it's on every spec card here.
Bridge Width: The Number Inside Your Current Frames,Pick up the glasses you're wearing now and look at the inside of the left temple arm. You'll see something like 52-18-140. The middle number is bridge width in millimetres. If your current pair slides, and that number is 17 or below, going to 18 or 19 is usually the fastest fix. Filter by bridge width above and skip the guesswork.

Frequently Asked Questions About Low bridge glasses

How do I know if I have a low nose bridge?

Look straight ahead in a mirror and lay one finger horizontally across the top of your nose. If it sits at or below the level of your pupils, your bridge is low. A faster real-world test: if your current glasses slide down within an hour, rest on your cheeks when you smile, or your eyelashes brush the lenses, you'll be more comfortable in a low bridge frame regardless of what the mirror says.

Are low bridge glasses the same as Asian fit glasses?

Yes — the frames are identical, the name is different. 'Asian fit' is the older industry term. We use 'low bridge' because it describes the feature the frame is built around rather than the person wearing it.

What bridge width should I look for?

If your current frames slide and the middle number stamped inside the temple arm is 17 or below, try 18 or 19. Above 20 is worth trying if the bridge of your nose is both low and wide. Filter by bridge width at the top of this page.

Can regular frames work if they have adjustable nose pads?

Often, yes — that's exactly what our 'Adjusts to Low Bridge' tier is.Metal and titanium frames with pads on 7mm+ arms can be set lower and wider. What they can't fix is excess pantoscopic tilt, so if your problem is lenses touching your cheeks rather than the frame sliding,go with an Engineered Low Bridge frame instead.

Will acetate frames work for a low bridge?

Some will. Acetate frames have no adjustable pads, so everything depends on how the bridge itself is moulded. A deep integrated pad works; a flat one doesn't. We list which is which on every acetate frame here, so you don't have to guess from a product photo.
